Does "Nag Mani" exists in real life? Here's the truth!!

If you are one among who follows Hinduism, then most probably you may believe in 'Snake God' also known as 'Nag Dev'. But have you heard or come across any belief about the famous story of 'Nag Mani'? If yes, then, in this blog i am going to bust the myth about the story of 'Nag Mani'. If you have not heard about the story, well good for you, at least you are getting aware about such things that maybe happening around!!

So as per our ancestral belief, "if a cobra or a king cobra does not bite anyone, nor eats anything, and preserves its venom for over 100 years, the venom turns into a diamond/stone". But again there might be a few other variations to this story as well. However, any snake be it cobra or a king cobra cannot survive without food and water which is a basic necessity. The snake has to hunt for food for their own survival. So what exactly is Nag Mani? How does it look?

The real name of this Nag Mani is "Benzyte Carbonate". Pictures Below:

Here is a picture of a man removing a stone from the snake's skull (the above picture is taken from a video and the video is clearly staged)

One type of variation in "Benzyte Carbonate"

Another variation of Benzyte Carbonate

There is no scientific evidence that proves the existence of Nag Mani in real life. The people that may have found this stone might have been fooled by someone. You may have seen such stones or shining 'Nag Mani' in Movies. There are numerous myths attached to this stone. In fact; if this stone is polished, then these stones are even sold in crores!!

Beware of any such fraud that may happen with you. If any person is trying to sell or shows that they have Nag Mani inform the police or the local forest department immediately.

So now after this blog, do you need to stop believing in 'Nag Dev', certainly not, the motive of this blog is to only educate you people about few things that people need to be aware of. Hope this blog helped you to understand and be aware of such things.
